A traditional favorite snack food for the holidays This Cast Iron Skillet Party Mix adds a few changes to the traditional Chex ™ party mix by replacing a few of the ingredients. While the Wheat Chex doesn’t have a good substitute for us traditionalists, you can find store brands for the remaining cereal and other ingredients. I’ve done this a couple of ways as will be noted in the recipe. One uses the standard seasonings, the other uses a Fajita spice which really jazzes it up. Letting it sit overnight in a sealed container really brings it up if you can stand the wait. All in all a good afternoon kitchen project for a dreary day.
Cast Iron Skillet Party Mix

As a substitute for the seasoned salt, try some of Hogzones Fajita spice. Adds a nice bite to the mix. If you can stand the wait, make it the night before. Letting it sit really seasons it up.
