Cast Iron Skillet Party Mix

Based on the original Chex Party mix and cooked in a cast iron skillet. Microwave if you want but you'll never end up with better.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Corn Chex
  • 3 cups Rice Chex
  • 3 cups Wheat Chex
  • 2 cups Cheerios
  • 1-1/2 cups Dry roasted peanuts
  • 2 cups Cheezits
  • 2 cups Stick Pretzles
  • 6 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1-1/2 tsp Lawry's seasoned salt
  • 3/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

Instructions

  • Combine Cereal mix, nuts, crackers, and pretzles in a 15" cast iron skillet.
  • In a small saucepan melt butter and add seasonings and worcestershire sauce. Stir.
  • Drizzle over mix in skillet and combine.
  • Place in 250 oven and cook for 1 hour stirring every 20 minutes.
  • Remove and let cool in skillet.

As a substitute for the seasoned salt, try some of Hogzones Fajita spice. Adds a nice bite to the mix. If you can stand the wait, make it the night before. Letting it sit really seasons it up.
