Country Fried Steak

Ingredients

  • 2 4 oz cube steaks
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 ea Eggs
  • 1 tsp Lawry's seasoned salt
  • 1/8 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 pkg Frozen Green Beans
  • 1 Box Cornbread Stuffing mix
  • 1 Jar Chicken Gravy
  • 1 slice bacon
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 2 qt water

Instructions

Green Beans

  • Add water to pot. Add green beans, bacon, and pepper.
  • Bring to boil, reduce heat and cook till beans are tender.

Stuffing

  • Prepare per instructions on box.

Gravy

  • Heat gravy in small pot till hot. Don't overcook.

Fried Steak

  • Add flour, Seasoned Salt, Garlic and combine with a fork.
  • Lightly beat eggs in a shallow pan.
  • Heat oil over medium in cast iron skillet.
  • Dip steaks in egg, dredge in flour mix. Repeat and place in hot oil.
  • Cook till nicely browned. Remove and drain on paper towel.

Finish

  • Plate steaks, Green beans, and Stuffing. Spoon gravy on meat and stuffing.
