Cast Iron Skillet Cornbread

Cornbread is a staple if you enjoy Southern Style cooking. It pairs up with so many things as a great side dish. This is a sweet variety cornbread in as much as it has sugar in it. Some prefer not using sugar, but it's a matter of taste. Simple to make, you can whip a batch together while the beans and ham are cooking in the pot. So grab a skillet and get started.

Notes

[nutrition-label]One of the best things to ever come out of a Cast Iron Skillet is cornbread. Simple, easy to make, and pops right out of the pan. We like ours served with ham and beans on top, topped off with diced onions, and a dab of ketchup or hot sauce.
