Easy Peasy BBQ Sauce

Easy to make BBQ sauce that pairs up well with any kind of meat.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup onion finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup salad oil
  • 1 1/2 cups ketchup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 6 - 8 drops Frank's hot sauce or equivalent

Instructions

  • Grab your trusty cast iron skillet, add the oil and heat over medium for about 15 minutes. add the onion and cook until slightly brown and translucent.
  • Reduce heat to medium low and add everything else. Simmer for an hour, turn off the heat and let cool. Transfer to a suitable container, use what you need and freeze the rest.
  • Your meat will love you for this.
