CAST IRON COOKBOOKS

Cast Iron Cookbooks

Cooking in cast cast iron brings more to the table than just something to eat. Like watchmaking of old it represents  both a love and a respect for the ingredients you have to work with. Much of that sentiment is echo’d in the following cast iron cookbooks as they chronicle recipes that really bring home the nostalgia and multitasking capabilities that only cast iron cooking can unleash. Everything from main dishes, sides and deserts, indoors, and outdoors are here at your fingertips not to mention a lot of smiles and happy tummy’s.

Sizzling Skillets And Other One Pot Wonders

From the master himself. While not entirely devoted to cast iron, it nevertheless has an entire section on the subject. Just overall a great book for putting together one pot dishes for all of us who hate washing pots.

The Dean and Deluca Cookbook

We included this here since we have a copy signed by David Rosengarten back in 2000. While some reviewers have labeled it as being somewhat acerbic and condescending, it offers a lot of great ideas. If your looking for something new or just a variation on an old favorite, this is for you. A lot of good chuckles to be  had as well as tremendous flavor. (Try our French Onion Soup)
