There have been a lot of cast iron pans made over the years but the Griswold and Wagner names stand out prominently as some of the finest ever produced. So it’s not surprising to see a cookbook dedicated to cooking in these great pans.
A good reference book for cooking in cast iron cookware plus information on care and handling. 150 recipes for main and side dishes makes this a nice homey book to have in your collection.
When it comes to cooking authentic american cuisine nothing takes the place of cast iron. And no other manufacturer represents this like Lodge. The recipes stand for themselves and the book contains a rich collection of photos. Well worth a look.
From the master himself. While not entirely devoted to cast iron, it nevertheless has an entire section on the subject. Just overall a great book for putting together one pot dishes for all of us who hate washing pots.
We included this here since we have a copy signed by David Rosengarten back in 2000. While some reviewers have labeled it as being somewhat acerbic and condescending, it offers a lot of great ideas.
