Ingredients
- 2 large Fresh Green Tomatoes
- 1 cup All purpose flour
- 1/3 cup Yellow Cornmeal
- 3 Eggs
- 2 tbsp Milk
- 1 cup Oil
- 1 tbsp Salt
- Black Pepper to taste.
Instructions
- Whisk flour, cornmeal, and salt together in a dredging pan.
- Whisk eggs and milk together in a large bowl.
- Heat oil in cast iron skillet over medium heat till hot.
- Dip tomato slices in egg wash, dredge in flour mix.
- Place in hot oil one and brown on both sides.
Notes
For a nicer crust, repeat the egg flour dredge. See video below.
